Lisa is originally from South Wales in the UK and owes her fluency in Spanish to being half-Spanish herself. After having worked in the Educational Industry, both as an English teacher and Marketing Manager for an Adult education college in London, she decided to move to the North of Spain and opened up two English language schools of her own. After living there for nearly 20 years she moved with her family to Malaga.
As Phoenix College Málaga’s Registrar, Lisa’s role involves administration and marketing, which gives plenty of chances for her creativity to shine through.
Tell us a little bit about your time as a receptionist?
I was lucky to get the job as a receptionist at Phoenix College through a mutual friend of the owners. My time here as Phoenix College receptionist has been great. It’s a relatively new school so we have all more or less built up our departments. I was lucky to have come from a School background as I have been a TEFL teacher for over 25 years and I have also owned two of my own English Language Schools, so adapting to this environment was easy for me.
What do you enjoy most about Phoenix College?
What I most enjoy about Phoenix is the atmosphere, the fact that it is a relatively small school, so everyone knows each other, the is a very relaxed and happy vibe here.
