Students and parents were invited to Phoenix College Málaga on Thursday for an information evening for matriculated students regarding the academic year 2018/2019. There was also a meeting for parents interested in enrolling for the academic year 2019/2020.
The evening was a chance for the students to get to know each other and to present them with an overview of what to expect during the year both academically and with regard to their broader personal, social and cultural education.
Students were encouraged to participate in developing the programmes which will shape their time at Phoenix College and we look forward to engaging with their ideas through the foram available on the Phoenix College google drive.
Mr Mitchell explained about the upcoming curricular changes and the need for students to access the international versions (IAL) of the Edexcel syllabuses that the school will be following.
Finally Mr Mitchell discussed the need for students to be well prepared for September, by providing them with reading lists for the different subjects, as well as talking about the requirements needed for students interested in taking further maths which will involve an entrance-style exam to take place just before the school year starts.
Students had a chance to have a look around the school one last time before building work begins to shape what will be the Phoenix College Málaga from September 2018.
